Nihao Hong Kong!

After 7 years, we're back in Hong Kong for the third time! Thanks to Fiesta Travel and Tours for our flight tickets :) We purchased it from a Travel Expo last February and their agency gave us a very good deal. However, we didn't go on a packaged tour anymore since we already went to places such as Disneyland and Ocean Park before. Our trip this time covers more on the Kowloon area in terms of sightseeing (and shopping haha!).

So upon arriving at the airport, we took an MTR express train going to Kowloon station. The train usually arrives every 5-10 minutes so it's quite easy to catch this trip. Tickets can be bought online or at the airport counter. Apparently, there's not much to see during the ride because it mostly passes an underground tunnel. Moving on, we've reached Kowloon after 30 minutes then we head on over to our hotel which is The Royal Pacific Hotel and Towers.

With its 4-star rating, this hotel has very fine amenities and structure. It even has a ferry port on the ground floor where we got bound to Macau and it also links to Harbour City, the largest shopping mall in Kowloon. Going around that mall can be confusing as it is also connected to different shopping centers, hotels and terminals. However, I believe you cannot leave this without buying anything because almost all the shops are here from signature brands, kiosks to those brands that are mainstream. With regards to the price, well some of the shops were on sale during our stay but canvass first before buying!

This is where we had our breakfast buffet for 2 days.It offers European and Chinese cuisine where it has the usual salad and bread bar;plus,it has a congee and noodle station where you could create your own!I actually tried making my own congee by putting all the toppings and it didn't quite go well,Haha I don't know why it still tasted bland. :)) Another resto that you could try is Cafe de Coral which has a variety of menu everyday. We had our breakfast on our last day there and it was really good, their serving is enough for a balanced meal.

I went pastel on our first night in HK.❤️ The temperature was almost as hot as in the weather in Manila so it felt like summer here too instead of spring.

Anyway, the following day we went to Causeway Bay and here I am in front of Times Square! Here's my front view of it:

It wasn't lively much that time as we went there on an early Sunday. It was my first time to celebrate Palm Sunday in another country and definitely,it was hard looking for a church here.I can't even understand why other OFW's don't know where the nearest church is so we just googled and tried to navigate it with our cab driver. We reached St. Margaret's and unfortunately, their mass is in Chinese so we just paid a visit, participated in their palm Sunday ceremony then we left. After that, we strolled around the district and this is where i get to try authentic Chinese food!

I forgot what it's really called but this one's very delicious inspite that it was too oily.It is shrimp covered with fried bread crumbs mixed with egg similar to camaron.Another food that we tried is of course, authentic siu mai!

But if you want to eat an affordable wanton noodle soup,go dine in at Ho Hung Kee located at Hyssan Place,Henessy Rd.It's a one-starred michellin restaurant that is popular for its rice noodles.Yet we did ordered a bean curd for our side dish which is also good.

So I guess that's all I can say about my comeback in Hong Kong and I've had enough of it!Haha though I do recommend this for first time-travellers. Plus, I suggest going on a tour if it's a first time because it can be hard communicating with the people there. Truth be told, they aren't much accommodating if they are asked for directions and such so be careful!

'til then!
